One of the Bay Area’s finest cultural attractions, the Sanchez Art Center provides numerous exhibitions by both celebrated and emerging California artists. Started in 1996 by a group of local artists and residents who leased an abandoned elementary school that was later converted to the Sanchez Art Center, the center is a nonprofit organization that strives to “create community through art.”
